Silkscreen prints that take old images from 1950's 'Popular Mechanics' or old coloring books and mash them all together. It's everywhere, especially here in Chicago. I see it in every show. It's not exciting or interesting! It may have been unique 20 or 30 years ago but should be vaulted.

I like Jerry Saltz. It's just that his involvement in conceptual stunts is getting to be a bit much. If he promises to stop sleeping in art museums, being a judge on reality TV shows and the like, he can stay out of the vault.

Chihuly -- good one! I think it would be fun to hit a few with a stick, much like hitting a piñata.

Warhol tops my list too.
I could probably use a few Richter-free years, too. (Though then I'm dragging Saltz back out. Conundrum...)
Probably less of an issue for you international art city types, but out here in the hinterlands it can get hard to throw a stick without hitting a Chihuly...vault him.

Great idea. I was gonna say Koons, too, but let's leave his sculpture out here with us and, in light of his recent paintings, lock his rich ass in there until he agrees to be interesting again.

Good one Bill. I think the Art Institute of Chicago should throw Claude Monet (haystacks and all) in the vault. Hey, I like the guy but into the vault he goes.
