Mullen's works of art, "Answer to the act of the artist, the nature of the materials, which altogether has its present integrity and dignity." What I also found refreshing yet soulful in Mullens latest pieces of work is the warm and calming hues as a backdrop of its subject that draws one inside the very nature of the story being expressed. Yet the works don't slip into science fiction; they don't give themselves away; they answer to the act of the artist, the nature of the materials, which altogether has its present integrity and dignity.
